2012 MUSC State & Provisional League Squad Coaches
MUSC is delighted to announce the appointment of the following coaches to the 2012 State & Provisional League Coaching Group:
State League Division 3 N/W Senior Squad Coach: Sam Matheas
State League Division 3 N/W Senior Squad Assistant Coach: Shoni Maguire
Sam
continues in the role he held for the 2011 Season. Following a strong
3rd placed finish in 2011, MUSC has elected to continue the working
relationship with Sam who has displayed exemplary dedication to the
position along with organisational skills of the highest order. His
attention to detail, including the ability to identify and give talented
individuals an opportunity at State League Division 3 Senior level
along with a dedication to fit into the MUSC culture and actively foster
an inclusive environment, makes Sam the ideal fit for Head Coach at
MUSC.
Sam will be ably assisted by Shoni Maguire. Shoni moves on
from his role of State League Division 3 N/W Reserve Squad Coach after 3
years in the position. He will continue his coaching development at
MUSC at Senior Squad level in 2012.
Provisional League Division 3 S/E Senior Squad Coach: Duncan Ryan
Duncan
boasts a playing history of some 20+ years in the UK. Following stints
as a club physiotherapist and referee (including a FIFA registered
Beach Soccer Referee), Duncan's career in coaching and management began
in 1993/94. Duncan migrated to Australia in 2003 and joins MUSC
following previous coaching stints at Collingwood City, Epping City,
Watsonia Heights, DOCS Academy (North Eltham) and Northern Falcons,
including a 1-week educational tour at the Sao Paolo senior team
training camp in Brazil in July 2009.
State League Division 3 N/W Reserve Squad Coach: George Traikovski
Following
a senior playing career spanning from 1984 through to 2005 that
involved stints at Victorian Premier League, State 1, State 2 and
Provisional League as well as WA Premier League level, George began his
coaching career in 2005 at Provisional League Division 1 level. Since
then he has concentrated his coaching efforts and development at youth
level with talented youngsters ranging from the U/15 to U/18 age group.
George's experience stands him in good stead to develop similar players
at Reserve team level in preparation for senior team football in the
future and joins MUSC following previous coaching stints at Moreland
United, Plenty Valley Lions, Keilor Park and North East Diamonds.
Provisional League Division 3 S/E Reserve Squad Coach: Michael Antolos
Following
a senior playing career from 1984-1990 as part of the famed "golden
generation" at Croydon City SC coached by luminaries such as Miron
Bleiberg and Jim Tanzi, Michael began his own coaching and management
career in 2007. He is known for a direct and "no-nonsense" approach
with a view to being attack-minded and promoting younger players within
the club. He will continue his coaching development at MUSC following
previous coaching stints at Chelsea, Noble Park and Dandenong City.
All
coaches will work within the Club's coaching group environment and
report directly to the MUSC Director of Football. All coaches will be
aiming to further enhance and develop the players representing MUSC at
State and Provisional League Squad level in the hope of securing
promotion to higher divisions. The club will hold a "Meet The Coaches"
evening prior to Christmas with specific details of the event to be
announced in due course.
MUSC welcomes all coaches on board and looks forward to a fruitful working relationship and successful upcoming 2012 season.
Regards,
