History

The University of Melbourne Sports Union officially gave birth to the Soccer Club on Wednesday 9 July, 1947. A women’s team was formed in 1982. The Club grew to comprise the University Rangers, University Blues and University Women’s teams. All three divisions merged to form a single club in the mid-2000s. MUSC is now the largest senior football club in Victoria with 6 senior women’s teams and 13 senior men’s teams.

This section of the club’s website is dedicated to recording the history of MUSC and celebrating the people who have made the club what it is today.

If you can fill any gaps in the Club’s history or have stories, documents or photos to share from your time with the Club, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch with our History at MUSC form or by emailing [email protected]
