Join MUSC
MUSC welcomes expressions of interest from prospective players, coaches and volunteers at all times of the year.
Players
The football season in Victoria runs from late March until early September.
Pre-season training runs from November (VPLW and MSL) or January (WSL and Men’s Metro) until the beginning of the season. Teams are selected by coaches in the lead up to the start of the season.
The first step to joining the club as a player is to fill out the club’s Expression of Interest form . Doing this will subscribe you to an email list to receive notification of opportunities to meet the coaches and start attending trial/training sessions.
You do not have to be a University of Melbourne student to join the club. Many of our members are alumni and non-students.

With 20 teams, MUSC is always on the lookout for enthusiastic coaches of all experience levels. If you want to gain some experience but not commit to taking a full team, talk to us about how you could start out as an assistant coach or team manager.
Volunteers
MUSC is run by volunteers who are predominantly current players. With only senior teams, not any junior teams, we miss out on parent helpers. Taking on a committee or board role greatly helps the club, gives you invaluable experience and looks fantastic on your CV.
