Board and Committees

Melbourne Uni Soccer Club is run by volunteers. Directors are elected by the association’s membership at the club’s Annual General Meeting which is generally held in October/November each year. The Board governs the association and appoints Committees and officers to manage the club’s operations.

Speak to a member of the Board about how you can get involved in running the club.

Operational Committees

If you have a particular area of interest, please consider joining one of the operational committees that are crucial to the running of the club. Serving the club is personally rewarding and the experience looks great on a CV.

Committee members are decision makers and delegators; they are not expected to do everything.

The club is run by members for members. Those that put in their time get more of a say in how the club operates.

Social Media Committee
Manages the club’s website and social media accounts. Helps the club to demonstrate its identity, culture and values; communicate with members & alumni; build a community engaged with the club’s activities & achievements; promote MUSC to prospective members; and more!

Equipment Committee
Manages the club’s equipment, ensuring members have access to quality training & matchday equipment.

Events Committee
Facilitates the running of club social events. They don’t do everything to run events but maintain the club’s events calendar and provide advice and resources for club members to execute successful events.

Registrations Committee
Handles the registration of all club members with the relevant football federations so our members can do what they’re here to do – play football!

Sponsorship and Grants Committee
Seek out grants and sponsorships that will benefit club members by funding equipment and experiences that the club would not otherwise be able to afford.

Facilities Committee
Secures grounds for the club to use for training and matchdays and manage the club’s use of those facilities. The committee also plans and advocates for the club’s future facility needs.

Matchday Committee
Rosters volunteers to help out on home matchdays, ensuring everything that needs to be done for a matchday to run smoothly gets done. Keeps the club canteen & bar stocked, and works to maximise use and enjoyment of the Northern Pavilion.

Women’s Committee
Football is a traditionally male dominated sport. Our women’s committee does a fantastic job maximising the enjoyment of the game & club experience for all our female members.

Football Committee
Makes recommendations around coaching appointments, the structure of the club’s teams, allocation of resources to teams, player development pathways, and many more things related to the club’s football operations.
