MUSC 75th Anniversary Function

Founded in 1947, Melbourne University Soccer Club is this year celebrating 75 years of football.

Join us to mark this milestone anniversary with a cocktail party in the Ernie Cropley Pavilion on the evening of Sunday 12th June. This is the day before the Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday.

This is a ticketed event. Canapés and drinks are included.

Members, alumni, supporters and friends are all welcome.

Date: Sunday 12th June 2022 (the following day is the Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday)
Time: 6:30pm – 10:30pm
Venue: Ernie Cropley Pavilion, Melbourne University Oval, Parkville
Tickets: $75 ($65 for current MUSC student members). Canapés and drinks are included.
Attire: Cocktail / business casual / whatever you’re comfortable in – see below for photos from the club’s 70th anniversary function in 2017.

Gala Match on the University Oval

The cocktail party will be preceded by a gala match on the Melbourne University Oval, with the MUSC Women’s Victorian Premier League senior team kicking off at 3pm against Eltham Redbacks. Reserves kick off at 1pm.

The match is open to the public and free to attend.

A BBQ & bar will be available at the Ernie Cropley Pavilion throughout the day.

The Pavilion will be open between the end of that match and the start of the ticketed function.

FRIDAY 10 JUNE – Friday night football at Princes Park
Men’s State League 4 vs West Preston FC
Princes Park; Seniors 8:30pm, Reserves 6:30pm; BBQ and bar at the Northern Pavilion

SATURDAY 11 JUNE – Saturday afternoon football at Princes Park
Men’s State League 5 vs Glenroy Lions FC
Princes Park; Seniors 3pm, Reserves 1pm; BBQ and bar at the Northern Pavilion


Ernie Cropley Pavilion

The Ernie Cropley Pavilion is located on the northern side of the Melbourne University Oval.

Access is via Tin Alley from Swanston Street.

There is also pedestrian access is via Morrison Close from College Crescent between Ormond College and St Hilda’s College.

Parking is available along Swanston Street, College Crescent and Royal Parade. Limited parking is available onsite at cost.
