Team of the Decade: Kehley Bitzas

Selected as starting Goalkeeper for the Team of the Decade is Kehley Bitzas.

Kehley played for MUSC while still in high school during 2015 and 2016, before moving onto an extremely successful college soccer career in the US.

Kehley is known for her swift shot-stopping and incredible reflexes. Throughout 2015 she stopped many long range efforts, diving to the top corners of the goal with apparent ease. Kehley was known to put her body on the line, collecting the ball from the feet of attacking strikers without fear. She also displays excellent technical ability with her feet, as required by a goalkeeper in the modern game.

The 2015 season was a standout for Kehley with the senior women’s side. Throughout the season she produced 6 clean sheets, as well as 7 games with only one goal conceded. These results helped the team to come 2nd in the league by only 2 points behind rivals Ballarat. Kehley then had an outstanding performance in the grand final, where the team went on to defeat rival Ballarat 3-1.

In 2016, before moving to the US to fulfill her dream of playing college soccer, Kehley produced an incredible 9 clean sheets. Since then Kehley has remained connected to the MUSC through her sister Taryn and has regularly come to visit the club when she is home from college.

Congratulations to Kehley on being selected for the Team of the Decade!
