Info for Visiting Clubs

Useful information for teams and referees visiting Princes Park for a Melbourne University Soccer Club home game.

MUSC Home Grounds

Melbourne University Soccer Club operates out of Princes Park in Parkville.

Northern Pavilion

The club rooms and change rooms are in the Northern Pavilion at 380 Royal Parade, Parkville.

There are four change rooms in the Northern Pavilion: A, B, C and D.

Diagram of Northern Pavilion Layout, with change rooms in orange, the referee room in blue, and the social area in yellow. A red arrow points to indicate entry into the northern pavilion, from the eastern side of the building.

On busy game days, some teams may need to share a change room with another away team. We recommend that you take your personal belongings with you to the pitch as other teams may use your allocated changeroom during your match. On matchdays that your club is the sole user of your changeroom, the person stationed at the canteen will be able to un/lock your changeroom on request.

There is a Canteen and Bar located in the social area of the Northern Pavilion. Please note that our liquor licence does not permit alcoholic beverages to be taken out of the Northern Pavilion’s social area. BYO alcohol to the club rooms or pitches is strictly prohibited.

Please refrain from wearing boots inside the pavilion social area. Players can exit the changing rooms directly through the external doors.

Parking

There is a small carpark at the Northern Pavilion: first in best dressed. Ambulance access to the playing fields is through the carpark. Only park in the marked parking spaces. Do not park in the carpark’s driveway or on the nature strip along Royal Parade: City of Melbourne officers patrol the area and may issue parking infringement notices.

Parking on Royal Parade is free all day Saturday and Sunday and after 6:00pm on weekdays.

Ikon Park’s carpark is free on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pitches

There are six playing pitches at Princes Park. Pitch allocations will be displayed in on a whiteboard on the northern wall of the social area, on your right as you enter the club rooms. Below is a map of the pitches at Princes Park, with Pitches 1 and 6 along the Royal Parade side of Princes Park, and Pitches 3 and 4 along the Melbourne Cemetery (Princes Park Drive) side.

Referees

For referees working at Princes Park for Melbourne University Soccer Club games, you are able to leave your belongings in the referee room where they can be locked securely during games. Please attend at the bar in Northern Pavilion to request these to be locked/unlocked and to collect your cheque(s) post-match.
