Position Available: Men’s State League 5 Reserve Coach
Melbourne University Soccer Club is seeking a Reserve Team Coach for our Men’s State League 5 North squad.
Our MSL5 Reserves are a competitive team. They are the defending MSL5 North Reserve Champions and have won the league in 3 out of the last 4 years. We are seeking a coach to guide this talented group of players to more success while supporting the Senior team. Our MSL5 Reserve team coach will work closely with and will be well supported by the MSL5 Senior coach.
Our Men’s State League teams returned to training at Princes Park in late May and are training – in line with the latest COVID-19 restrictions – in anticipation of the MSL5 North season commencing in late July.

The Club
Based at Princes Park in Carlton North, MUSC provides football opportunities to University of Melbourne students and alumni as well as the general public.
Our central location makes us an attractive destination for a large number of talented players. Players do not have to be University of Melbourne students to join the club, but our connection with the University and our close proximity to the UoM’s Parkville campus mean we are largely the club of choice for many quality student players from overseas, interstate, regional Victoria and Melbourne.

The Position
We’re seeking a Reserve Coach for our Men’s State League 5 squad.
We’re looking for a coach who will:
– Run engaging training sessions
– Improve players as footballers and individuals
– Work in partnership with other coaches to deliver success to the MSL5 Seniors, Reserves and Thirds (Metro 1) teams.
We’re looking for a coach who brings passion and positivity to everything they do. They will be an exceptional communicator. They will buy into and enhance our club culture. They will take pride in Reserve team players being promoted to play Senior football.
Our coaches are well supported by a proactive committee and a team of engaged volunteers who take on a lot of the team admin, allowing our coaches to focus on coaching.
Remuneration (volunteer honorarium) appropriate for the position and experience will be negotiated.
